Support Florida Veterans — On and Off the Job Site

The VA reports there are 19.1 million veterans living in the United States. There are 1,430,000 veterans in the State of Florida. There are 1,265,000 male veterans and 168,000 female veterans. – Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs

We’re proud to stand behind the men and women who have served our country—not just in words, but in action. A growing number of veterans face serious challenges when they return home, including mental health struggles, unemployment, and a difficult transition into civilian life. Nearly 1 in 3 veterans report symptoms of PTSD or depression, and over 37,000 veterans are homeless on any given night in the U.S.

Yet, many veterans find renewed purpose in the construction industry. Nearly 7% of the construction workforce is made up of veterans—a powerful reminder of their continued contribution to building strong communities. Check out this statistic from VA News:

“For transitioning Veterans, the construction industry is a popular sector to find a new career. According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics, more than 528,000 Veterans work in the construction industry. Construction provides Veterans a chance to continue helping strengthen our nation. Construction is the foundation for nearly everything that happens in our communities.” – VA News

That’s why Creek Engineering is committed to supporting non-profits that serve veterans and their families. Whether it’s access to mental health resources, job training, or transitional housing, these organizations are doing life-changing work—and we’re honored to help them do it.

Tunnel to Towers Foundation

The Tunnel to Towers Foundation honors the sacrifice of first responders and military service members by supporting their families and helping them build stable futures. The foundation provides mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families, catastrophically injured veterans, and first responders who have lost their lives in the line of duty.

Veterans and their families can apply for support through the foundation’s website by completing an eligibility form and providing service documentation. Each application is carefully reviewed to ensure the greatest needs are met.

Want to join the mission? You can support Tunnel to Towers by donating, fundraising, or participating in local 5K runs and events held across the country. Every dollar helps ease the burden for those who’ve sacrificed so much.

Visit t2t.org to learn how you can join their mission to serve and support U.S. veterans.
